Good Karma Club - Terms and Conditions
The Good Karma Club is a referral campaign that rewards Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan members and their friends or community for exploring the positive benefits of investing ethically and, if thought appropriate, joining the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan.
We've partnered with our friends at With Impact (a New Zealand owned and operated website dedicated to reducing waste and supporting a more circular economy).
Refer someone to the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan using your special referral code, and if they join, you’ll both receive a credit for the With Impact store – referring members will receive $100 credit and new members will receive $50 credit. (Conditions do apply, see our Ts and Cs below).
You will find your special referral code in the email we sent you OR call or email us and we can supply you with it.
Introduction
These terms and conditions (Terms) form the basis of the “Good Karma Club” promotion (Promotion). By participating in the Promotion, you agree to these Terms.
The Promotion is being offered by Pathfinder Asset Management Limited, the Manager of the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan. In these Terms “we”, “us” or “Pathfinder” refers to Pathfinder Asset Management Limited.
In these Terms “you” or “your” refers to you as the reader. You will either be a Referrer or a Referee as explained below:
(1) A Referrer is an existing member of the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan who is eligible to refer non-members to the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan, and
(2) A Referee is any person who receives a referral email for the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan in connection with this Promotion, and who is not already a member of the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan.
Promotion Period and changes to Terms
This promotion starts on DATE and ends at midnight on DATE (Promotion Period).
Subject to any rights of the Referrer or Referee under New Zealand law, we may terminate, change or suspend the Promotion or these Terms at any time and for any reason before the end of the Promotion Period. We may also in our discretion extend the Promotion Period.
Who is eligible for the Promotion - Referrers
To be eligible as a Referrer, you must be:
(1) a current member of the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan on the date that the referee’s application is accepted by Pathfinder, and
(2) selected by us to participate in the Promotion. You will be notified by us by email if you have been selected to participate in this Promotion, and
(3) You will be at least 18 years old.
There is no limit to the number of people a Referrer can refer to the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan, or the number of times a Referrer can receive a Referrer Gift (provided each Referee meets the eligibility criteria set out in these Terms).
It is not possible for a Referrer to be entitled to receive a Referrer Gift unless a corresponding Referee is also entitled to receive a Referee Gift.
This Promotion is not valid in conjunction with any other offers or discounts.
Who is eligible for the Promotion - Referees
To be eligible for the Promotion, a Referee must:
(1) be at least 18 years old;
(2) not currently, or have previously been, a member of the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan
(3) Have applied to join the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan via the Pathfinder website “Join” form and using the Referrer’s referral code, and have their application received and accepted by Pathfinder during the Promotion Period.
If you are eligible as a Referee, you can only receive one Referee Gift, however once you become a Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan member, you may refer others to Pathfinder during the Promotion Period and receive a Referrer gift (provided each Referee meets the eligibility criteria set out in these Terms).
Sign-up process for the Promotion
The following must occur for both the Referrer and Referee to receive a Gift:
(1) The Referee must complete the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan application form via the Pathfinder website and enter the Referrer’s referral code in the Campaign Code field, and
(2) the Referee’s application form must be accepted by Pathfinder before midnight on the final day of the Promotion Period.
Only one Referrer promotional code can be submitted on the ‘Join’ form. This means there can only be one Referrer for each Referee.
When the Promotion will not apply
This Promotion is not valid or available in conjunction with any other offers or referrer arrangements. This means the Referee will not be eligible to receive a Referee Gift if joining via a financial adviser form, or through any other established referral relationship (for example Mindful Money or Money Hub).
Good Karma Club Gift and communication
When we say ‘Gift’ this refers to the two forms of credit Pathfinder will provide to the relevant Referrer and Referee:
(1) The Referrer will receive a Gift of a $100 credit on the With Impact website (Referrer Gift)
(2) The Referee will receive a Gift of a $50 credit on the With Impact website (Referee Gift)
Your Good Karma Club credit will be sent via email and text message with a link to the With Impact website. It is not exchangeable, negotiable, or transferable to any other person.
By accepting the ‘Gift’ on the With Impact website, you agree to their terms and conditions specific to their giving process as laid out on their website.
This promotion is not financial advice
By taking part in the Promotion, you acknowledge Pathfinder has not:
(1) made any recommendations in relation to this Promotion or the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan and
(2) given any opinions or financial advice to you as to the suitability of Pathfinder’s KiwiSaver Plan and
(3) you should make your own assessment about whether becoming a member of the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan is suitable for you. Seek professional financial advice if you are unsure.
No warranties and no liability
While care has been taken to ensure that the information provided in relation to the Promotion is accurate, neither Pathfinder nor any other person gives any warranty of its reliability, accuracy or completeness.
Pathfinder, its agents and employees, are not liable to any person for any loss, damage or liability whatsoever arising from or in conjunction with this Promotion.
While care has been taken to ensure that the information provided in relation to the Promotion is accurate, no entity or person gives any warranty of reliability or accuracy or accepts any responsibility arising in any way including from any error or omission.
Pathfinder, its agents and employees, and any companies related to Pathfinder including their sibling Alvarium Wealth (NZ) Limited, are not liable to any person for any loss, damage or liability whatsoever arising from or in conjunction with this Promotion.
No claim may be made against Pathfinder, its agents and employees, and any companies related to Pathfinder including Alvarium Wealth (NZ) Limited, in connection with any extension, change or termination by Pathfinder may make to any of the Terms of this Promotion, including the term of the Promotion Period.
If you are a Referee, you acknowledge that Pathfinder is not liable for any transfer fees that may be payable to your existing KiwiSaver provider, the loss of any benefits provided by that provider, or any increase in account balance that you may have otherwise received as a result of market movements while your transfer to the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan is processed.
Important privacy information
All personal information that you provide to Pathfinder when you apply to join the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan will be collected, stored and used in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020, Pathfinder’s Privacy Policy, and the terms and conditions of the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan (including your application form).
By participating in this Promotion you agree to us sharing certain information with our partner for this Promotion, With Impact, in order to carry out the delivery of your ‘Gift’. This includes your name, email, phone number and address, but not your KiwiSaver account balance or IRD number.
For privacy and confidentiality reasons, we will not disclose to a Referrer whether a particular Referee’s application to be a member of the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan is approved or declined. However, the Referrer will be aware that one of their Referees has joined the Pathfinder KiwiSaver Plan because they will receive an email and text message with details on how to redeem their ‘Gift’.
Disputes and non-compliance
In respect of any dispute with a Referrer or Referee regarding this Promotion or the eligibility for any Gift, Pathfinder’s decision is final.
If Pathfinder determines in its sole discretion that you have failed to comply with these Terms in any way, Pathfinder may take any action it considers appropriate. This may include (i) cancelling and reversing any credit sent to you via With Impact and (ii) excluding you from further participation in this Promotion or any future similar promotions Pathfinder may run.
